Product Description
S45C steel is a high-quality medium carbon steel known for its excellent balance of strength, toughness, and cost-effectiveness. It possesses good machinability in its annealed or normalized state, making it easy to process. However, it has limited hardenability, making it less suitable for large cross-section components. After heat treatment (quenching and tempering), its mechanical properties can be enhanced to meet various application requirements.
Due to its balanced performance and economic value, S45C material is used for various mechanical components, such as the retainers.
