Product Description
S65C steel is a common high-carbon steel used for parts requiring good strength and wear resistance. Heat treatment is necessary to develop its key S65C properties, such as hardness and resilience. Under the same surface state and complete hardening, the fatigue limit is not worse than that of alloy spring steel. However, the high carbon content makes this S65C material difficult to machine and weld.
Its hardenability is moderate, making it best for small to medium-sized parts. It is a standard choice for components such as springs and clutch parts.
